Call for Nominations for 2019 Election


The AACN Nominating Committee is seeking nominations for the following positions on the Board of Directors and Nominating Committee.ÌýÌý

  • Treasurer
  • Board member-at-large (4 vacancies)
  • Nominating Committee (2 vacancies)

The Nominating Committee meets several times to review submissions and develop the slate of candidates.Ìý The following criteria are used when making selections for the slate:

  • Need for representation of institutional types/sizes and geographical regions
  • Need for representation of membership diversity
  • Consideration of the candidates previous service to the association and/or other service
  • Conflict of interestÌý
  • Need for two candidates for each position vacancy

Nomination Packet Due Date:Ìý Friday, October 19, 2018

Nomination Packet Materials:Ìý The complete nomination packet consists of the signed Nomination form (self-nominations accepted), Consent to Serve Statement, Biographical Data Form, Personal Statement, and Curriculum Vitae.Ìý The packet should be submitted as one document in Word format and sent via e-mail to Jennifer Ahearn at jahearn@aacnnursing.org.

Term of Office: March 2019 to March 2021

Eligibility for Elected Office:Ìý Candidates must be the Chief Academic Nurse Administrator (Dean) of an AACN member institution.ÌýÌý

Slate Announcement: The slate of candidates will be announced during the Business Meeting at the .
