Required Qualifications:

Doctoral Degree (Earned or In Progress)
Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certification (PMHNP)
Valid NY State Professional Nurse License
Recent Nurse Practitioner Experience in Psych Mental Health

Preferred Qualifications:
Upper division teaching experience
Experience Precepting Nurse Practitioner Students

The School of Nursing at Stony Brook University invites/seeks applications for a 0.6 - 1.0 faculty position to teach in the Graduate program. Recent practice experience as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is required. Demonstrated mastery in clinical care to enhance curriculum delivery and development in the Nurse Practitioner programs is preferred. Prior experience precepting nurse practitioner students and/or upper division teaching experience is preferred.

All candidates should be prepared to mentor students as future nurse leaders, be committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion, and foster collaborative interdisciplinary learning experiences that expand student understanding of patient-centered care.

Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applications should include a cover letter, CV, three references.
